We have just returned from LAH’s 150 trip since its inception and our 17th trip to New Bern, N.C. Plans are now being made for our Nov. 9-15 back to New Bern where plenty of work remains to be done. Presently we have 6-8 people signed on for this trip and would certainly like to have additional volunteers. One of the problems we are running into for this trip is having enough drivers for the passenger van and the cargo van. Our rule is that we need a minimum of two for each van. Presently we have two and would like to get two more so we can take our cargo van with us. Cost of the trip is $100.
We have also made our schedule for the spring of 2026. We will be taking trips, the weeks of Jan. 18-24, March 8-14 and May 3-9. The January and May trips will be going to New Bernwhile the March trip will take us to the Asheville area of NC. We have found New Bern to have plenty of work. On our last trip, we worked on homes that were ruined in the 2018 hurricane. People were living in these homes while work continues on these homes. One individual was basically living in one bedroom! Please consider joining one of our trips.
